"The Princess and the Promise-Keeping Frog"

The Frog Prince

In a grand and majestic castle, there resided a stunning princess who loved nothing more than playing with her prized golden ball in the garden near the pond. However, one unfortunate day, while playing, the ball accidentally slipped from her hands and landed in the pond. Despite all her efforts, she could not retrieve it.

As tears streamed down her face, she was startled by a croaky voice asking, "Why are you crying, little princess?"

Turning around, she saw a frog looking up at her. "I have dropped my golden ball into the pond, and I am unable to retrieve it," she expressed.

"I can assist you," said the frog. "But what will you offer me in return?"

Believing the frog was merely jesting, the princess promised him anything he desired. The frog then leapt into the pond and fetched the golden ball. The princess was elated and, forgetting her promise, ran back to the castle.

Later, the frog appeared before the princess and reminded her of her promise to him. He asked to be allowed to eat from her plate, drink from her cup, and sleep on her pillow. The princess was disgusted and reluctant to fulfill her promise, but she knew she couldn't break her word.

Despite staying with the princess, the frog was unhappy due to the way she treated him. One day, unable to contain her frustration any longer, the princess flung the frog against the wall. To her amazement, the frog transformed into a charming prince.

The prince explained that a wicked witch had cursed him, and only a person who kept their promise and was kind-hearted could break the curse. Although the princess had initially broken her promise, she showed kindness and remorse, and the curse was lifted.

The prince and the princess found love in each other's arms and lived joyfully forever.

 MORAL OF THE STORY

The story teaches us that we must always keep our promises, no matter how small they may seem. Breaking a promise can hurt someone's feelings and lead to negative consequences. We should also treat others with kindness and respect, regardless of their appearance or social status. Lastly, we should remember that people may have hidden qualities and potential that we may not see at first glance.
